    0 to 60 in 7.5 ................Minutes.

But I think on a dragstrip this thing will still beat a Mercedes 240D. But maybe not on the reliability front. You'd prolly grenade the bottom end at the end of the quarter, but you'll beat that Mercedes!

I also like the velour interior.

Ok - how do you know? I'll bet there's some good GM mechanical carnage in this story.

Luckily, no. Just a holed pan.
I once worked at a machine shop, run by a guy directly related to John "Johnny Appleseed" Chapman, Mark Chapman. Mark had an '81 Eldo, and when I had to make a run for parts, my POS Monarch wouldn't start. So he loaned me the Eldo, and I ran back roads at high speed to snag the part. Coming back, there was a wavy part of one back road, and when I hit it, I launched then bottomed out. That's when a two or three millimeter hole was scraped into the pan, and I barely made it back to work, ATF burning off the hot exhaust....
Needless to say, I stayed after work to fix my Monarch, not just to get home, but because Mark vowed to never loan me a car again.
