Thankfully they explained the front end. My first thought it was a ā€˜49. Not to get too OCD, but it also has the ā€˜50 hood emblem versus the ā€˜49 Ford script. Wonder with its revisions what it will bring.

That is a pretty sweet car and it should be driveable on the highway with the engine, trans, and upgraded front end. They went through a lot of trouble to disguise that LS engine and it took me a minute to figure out what 4.8L engine they were talking about. I still wouldn't want to deal with the wood.

Somebody on a Facebook 'Wagon' page had posted links to this wagon and also the '69 Datsun wagon we've posted recently here as well. He was complaining that the '51 Ford post had around 33 'likes', while the post on the Datsun had around 220 'likes'. I told him to think of what the average age of a Facebook user is. Most wouldn't even know what a '51 Ford Squire looks like.

Heck, I am a geezer and even I relate more to the 510 because my wife owned a '72 and we loved it.

    Sold for $75,000 on 6/27/22.
with all the recent Woodies getting to the 40's and not selling, i guess the upgrades helped this one.

Yeah. I guess someone wanted a fast old car with lots of powered goodies on it. If I had one, I’d kinda like to work my way through the three gear wine, and have the wind run over my bald head. Lol
