Thanks Mark, especially with where even used cars are now. It was right at the top end of where I was going to be, but it looked like it had good bones.

yeah right now you could spend 7500 on a 10 year old explorer with 200,000 + miles.

My rear bumper filler was nearly mint when I got the car. Whenever I see these wagons I am always checking to see what condition the rear filler is in. Yours looks very much like mine, and mine developed the cracks very slowly over the two years I’ve had the car. It is caused by shrinkage of the plastic. My garage is climate controlled so I did notice when I drove the car in the colder weather it would make the cracks and warpage worse. If you know a company that makes them please let me know

    Please do and congrats! :)

Additionally, those 1990s Olds 98s were essentially Buick Park Ave. in different clothing, so it's a good car in its own right. The 3.8L in them is pretty much bomb proof (especially after the intake gasket is done on it), they ride like a dream and can even get 30 mpg on the highway if you're lucky. Sadly, Oldsmobiles of that era are pretty much forgotten by the majority of people, but they're great cars. Good to see it's in good hands. (y)

    Cheers.
