Wagons in vintage Street scenes

The restaurant which has been owned by the same family since 1947 was taken by eminent domain to build a new bridge and as this picture shows it was never in the way.

 

look at that ol dodge, my dad had one red, 6 banger with 3 on the tree, i learned to drive on that car. im a mopar fan. own a few, but they did make some ugly cars lol

 

Weseloh Chevy (and Olds then) was a dealer in north San Diego County. They WERE the Chevy dealer at Car Country Carlsbad, off Interstate 5 just south of Oceanside, but checking Google Earth, that store is now known as 'Premier Chevrolet'...... I'm guessing the owner sold and retired.

The Big Bear chain of grocery stores began in 1934 in Columbus, OH, by Big Bear Stores Co. founder Wayne Brown in a converted roller rink. Big Bear continued to grow until it numbered sixty-five locations, and seventy years later, in 2004, it ceased operations when the last store was sold.
