No Reserve: 1990 Chrysler TC by Maserati 5-Speed for sale on BaT Auctions - ending March 16 (Lot #68,103) | Bring a Trailer Speaking of the earlier posted "Imperial", here is another example of late 80's early 90's Chrysler products that sounded good in the board room
Right. K-carxotika. I think $8,600 is both probably in today’s market with that car, both well sold and well bought.
These kinds of cars should have been offered by Chrysler themselves and not outsourced to Maserati for some stupid extra cost. I can see people who wanted a semi-reliable not-too-big car but also not "cheap" car would have shelled a grand or two more for one. That said, they're kinda just a very overpriced custom van\dually Suburban type thing that cost a lot of extra but didn't really get you much extra.
I don't know the last time i had seen one of these, but now another No Reserve: 16k-Mile 1990 Chrysler TC by Maserati for sale on BaT Auctions - ending March 23 (Lot #68,710) | Bring a Trailer
The biggest issue with them is they were almost 2 years later than planned to the market, and just before they made it to the showrooms the redesigned 2-door Lebaron's came out, and they looked very much like these (better in some ways to my eyes) for quite a bit less $$$ but they also do not have that Italian leather aroma to the interior. But Chrysler was riding high at the time, and I think they thought they needed to respond to the Allante. It was a different world then.
Which makes me laugh, because if you were seriously considering buying an Allante, there was no way you were considering buying one of these cars.
But the Allante drivers found the cars to be mostly in the shop instead of the driveway, whereas the TC drivers got to drive their cars. I'm still looking for another V6 TC but only in certain colors and extremely near me and for sale at a price closer to their actual value of 3-5 thousand in good condition. I like the cars but I like other cars better when you get up to the prices people think they can get for these (and still have for sale years later).
You may not believe this ELB but the owner of this TC also had an Allante for a while - has sold it. IMO this color does nothing for the car.
