Yeah it has all the Look fast outside trim parts, rally wheels, gremlin X Stripes, rear window air deflector, and it has a bench seat, 6 cylinder automatic base steering wheel. The only Gremlin I owned (only AMC I ever owned also) was an X with Levi interior, bucket seats, power brakes and steering, 4-speed manual trans and a 304 2bbl V8. Mine was fun to drive this one I bet not so much. Also I would not really call them economy cars, as AMC did not have a 4 cylinder to put in them, so a Pinto or a Vega would et much better MPG than a Gremlin until they started buying Iron Dukes from GM in the late 70's. Nice looking Gremlin though.
Ha! I knew a guy who had a 304/4 spd Grem too in high school. He would do crazy burnouts and wicked donuts in it. He is now a guest at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.
Was a 4/Spd available? A friend of mine had a new X in high school in 75 It was a 304 3/spd, only option available other than a automatic.
Ya know what - now that you mention it, it MAY have been a 3 spd on the floor. I do remember it had a sticker/emblem that said "5 litre V8" on the back....oh crazy times, indeed.....
I checked transmission availability on the Gremlins for 1975 ONLY - You could get a 3-speed manual WITH overdrive on either of the 2 sixes offered. With the 304 V8, your choices were limited to the standard 3-speed manual (NO overdrive), or the automatic.
