Recently came across this nice vintage Metalmaster windup toy station Wagon. Cleaned up the rusty windup mechanism and actually got it to work. Car is about 9" long and appears to be complete with the exception of the rear tailgate.
Does anyone have one of these cars and can show me what the original tailgate actually looks like? This would be helpful so I can see if I could fabricate one. I would also be interested if someone had or knew where I could find an original tailgate. Nice car to add to my collection.

Could not find what the original tailgate may have looked like, so I made my own metal one. It will get permanently attached and I think I will give the wagon a fresh paint job.

Finished my wagon up tonight. Gave it two coasts of a light and then darker brown color to get the wood grain effect.

Great job on the liftgate! I see your metal working skills on smaller stuff is just as good as your full sized creations!
