    Hey doctordodge,
I had good results using uShip.

You list what you need shipped, from where to where, and various transporters bid on your job. You can choose based on price and feedback.

Back in June, I bought a big Buick wagon, and had it shipped in July by a great guy. It was an excellent experience.

Eric is out of AZ, but travels all over, and maybe he gets up your way.

    Good luck,
    David :tiphat:

I just got mine home last night. What a rush, 3,400 km in 59 hours. You pro's won't be impressed, but that is a lot of miles. I will post pics when available.

The best way, I think. I'm not a fan of modifying or customising classic American cars.
This particular model Valiant started off Chrysler Australia's Valiant line in the early sixties. With the 225 slant-six and Torqueflite, it offered a level of performance and refinement not then available on Ford or GM products. In subsequent models up to 1980, there were the 245 and 265 Hemi sixes and the 273, 318, 340 and 360 V8's.
What we never got down under were any of the bigger engines like the 440, but Chrysler's products were always thought of as superior (and more expensive) than the competition.

That's hard driving. 2,125 miles!?! I'm dead center in Canada - 2,450 miles to either coast. 2.5 days straight. Best I did was 3.5 days, way back in 1981 in a new Fairmont wagon, alone. No co-driver.

    Wilma's home

The Valiant here was originally a Chrysler product in 1960. In 1961 it became a Plymouth. I'm a Plymouth fan and prefer the '61s. They were called , I believe the R series and the '62 and later were the S series. Are the R series rare down there? How about the S? I have a '68 Satellite 4 door that runs 12's with a 440 as well You missed out not having the big blocks in Oz.

I was in New Zealand rather than Australia.
R and S-Series cars are very rare, as are the following models: AP5, AP6 (first with 273 V8 option), VC, VE, VF (first with 318 V8), VG (first with 245 Hemi six), VH (first with bigger 265 Hemi six), VJ and CJ. All from the AP6 on could be had with a V8, first the 273 then 318. A separate model called the Chrysler Limousine had the 360, which is as large as V8 engines ever got in Australia/NZ.
There was also the Charger coupe, which had the basic sixes, the Hemi 265 Six-Pack (triple carbs), the 318 V8 for luxury models and the racier 340 V8 for sports models. I think the Six-Pack was the quickest.
