The pictures are at least 9 months old... It's March, the car is in PA, and all the leaves are on the trees, and it looks warm...

Well fortunately, or unfortunately another season of snow, ice, or leaves doesn’t look like it’s gonna hurt the patina at this point. The hood and fenders already look like they’ve been replaced at some point. As Trump would say, no pun intended, it looks like one bad Ombré. By the looks of that lot, it’s loaded with a bunch of tuffies. BTW, is that some Pennsylvania law that if it’s not registered it has to be towed, even though it runs. That sounds kinda dumb. Another cash cow lobby.

Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking about the nose. I think the rear quarter was probably re-painted at some point too. At first I thought it was the doors, but they match the roof, probably the rear quarter. Not sure about the towing laws in PA. Here in Mass. IF it is unregistered, all the wheels have to be off the ground, while towing it. In Maine, it could be on a tow dolly.

Your cops would have a field day her in New Mexico. There are so many cars running around here without plates, and even the “temp” tags are fuzzy, or behind a black tinted windows. It seems like the Northeast, probably because cars have been around a lot longer have some pretty strange/restrictive laws.

Yes, the cars here, rust bad, quick, so I that is part of why they are so strict. I stopped to help a woman broken down the other day. She was dragging something, so she pulled over to look. It was a chunk of rusty frame, attached to the rear stabilizer bar. It was a 2012 Cadillac! The frame broke on our 1968 Ford wagon, in 1977, when it only had 62k on it! But many of their rules are probably just to bring in cash, with their fines!

Fluid Film Undercoating. I spray all my wintered vehicles with it. Don't breathe it though, it'll mess you up. Can't use a paper mask, that's too cheap.
