Ooh that is pretty. https://cnj.craigslist.org/cto/d/las-vegas-1979-oldsmobile-toronado-rare/6798758271.html
That red '84 Caliente Toronado that sold on ebay recently had less than half the miles and the auction ended (sold) for $3k less than what this guy is asking. No doubt his car is nice. but $16k seems like quite a stretch. I guess you can't get a high price if you don't ask for it though.
When I got married in August 1979, my new wife and I drove away from the ceremony on our honeymoon in my father's 1979 Toronado diesel. Its color was pretty close to this one. That's my brother putting the various streamers and signs on it. We'll be married 40 years on August 4.
Looks like a late model 98 behind the Toro. Plus the ‘76-77ish Vista Cruiser across the street, and the blue Delta 88 down the street past the Vista Cruiser. Wow, Olds ruled that day, except for that kid in the declining Granada that drove by. No hup caps starting to rust and a dent in the rear quarter. Probably died during the Reagan years. The Granada, not the kid. Happy pre 40th.
If that's the new wife, I'd hate to see the old one. Just kidding. I couldn't resist an opportunity. Seriously, congratulations for staying hitched that long. Now, tell your brother to go get a haircut. Not even Retros wear Dog Ears (yet). Cool W.A.S.P.ish neighborhood
