Somehow got this for X-Mas.....Most likely Mom was the one paying attention, remember the commercial as if it was yesterday!
I had that when I was a kid too, don't think dad paid this much for it though. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-Kenne...194523?hash=item33e14c1f9b:g:4YYAAOSwGHJadido
Mine cars were in the colour above. Have to say they were strong toys as I beat the crap out of them.! Didn't have many "toy" toys as a little kid ( had stuff that now only teens if not older would get...thanks dad) But MAN these things took a beating out on the street and stayed intact! Wish I had them today for the shop wall, but I left nearly everything to my cousins kids when we moved to the wet coast........... Flash back...... Dad and I played with tools, etc . But I clearly remember playing with these, with my Mom in the family room............Good Times! I left every toy behind, my Mom hid some old Tonka toys that I had completely forgot about. Gave them back to me X-Mas time years later when I became a Dad and was buying toys for my kid....Thanks Mom Now they live on the shop wall
"Crash, bang, smash 'em up, put 'em back again! Crash, bang, smash 'em up, Smash-up Derby is fun!" The SSP's I had were the dragsters, and the last one I ever saw new was a Mustang II in white.
All my younger brother and I got were rocks and sticks. Usually we got whipped with the sticks. Sure miss the old stock car tracks and drag strips around central Illinois. Our redneck son in Florida was racing on a small dirt track for several years. He even raced in a school bus until a driver was kiiled and they stopped abusing the school buses. He sure tore up a lot of his own cars and mini-trucks.
Woweeee look at all these mental midgets. How times do change and all these cars are collectible and yet lets just destroy them. There is a saying i love............... A mind is a terrible thing to waste.
You have to remember if they weren't in tn the derby most of them would of went here. Unless they lived to make it here.
That last video is the automotive version of Satanism. Unfortunately, they have a constitutional right to do these things. I wonder what those who fought for and founded the country would think, if they all saw this through a crystal ball. They might have had second thoughts about fighting the Brits, Germans or even the Indians. Those in the audience are number one at fault, because they fund the eradication of part of their heritage. They have neither brains nor soul. Notice that they had to deactivate commentaries on the video. I wouldn't be surprised, if they were getting their well-deserved death threats that they had to pull the ability to justly comment. All I was able to do was to thumb it downwards
Stupid mindless waste carried out by stupid mindless people. The cars could have been needed parts for restorations of other cars at the very least. Interesting is that there isn't any GM cars being thrown away here, just Fords and Mopar's. I am angry enough but you Ford and Mopar guys must be even more pissed off. I could only watch a minute of this garbage before i was sick enough.
And at least two of them were extremely rare Edsels, as if they were trying to provoke car lovers. Time to call in that air strike
