    My new issue of HMN Classic Car magazine just arrived. The main article is about the "personal luxury" cars of the 1970s. Guess just how popular the 1973-77 Monte Carlo was? A total of 1.56 million built over five model years, with 411,000 built for 1977 alone. Incredible. :bowdown: :bouncy:

    Yup, they were everywhere back then; you couldn't swing a cat without hitting one.

    Crazy for how many were produced, I never see them. Colonnade sightings for me are Cutlasses, Regal/Century, and Grand Prix's.

    I think a lot of these ended their days as short-track specials. And out west here, a lot of them ended up as lowriders. Oh those poor door hinges!
