Car is in nice shape, but I always thought these were about the ugliest front ends in the history of front ends. It always looks like it's upside down.

Seller states leather seats but the photos show the base vinyl bench seats. Nice condition but will be a hard sell to anyone in California due to the smog check requirements and the hassle to get a state referee to sign off on it if the repair parts are not available.

Why? It appears to be currently registered in California. I know you guys are crazy out there, but what is the problem with smog checking a forty year old car? I can't imagine it would be too hard to find repair parts for this thing.

IMO the front end is beautiful compared to the wood paneling on the side but thats why cars are awesome, everyone sees them differently. I dont like the looks of that wagon at all but I still love wagons.

You mean, plastic paneling. If only it was real wood like on real woodies.
Would much rather have this front end on it, if it'll fit. It even looks more pedestrian- and wind tunnel friendly:

Almost looks like a Volvo front end copy. Sorry about Ricardo Mantalban's mug in the pic. It was already in there:

Doesn't this look 1000 times better? I think so.

For $5000, I would say well bought.

Agreed. Looked like it was in exceptional condition.
The '78 grille does take a bit of getting used to-- but fully tolerable on a car this nice. The '79 was a little more pleasing.
