Decided to bring one of my car old racks out of retirement. Does it look goofy or can I pull it off? My buddies think it's too small. I though maybe at the next car show I'd put it on and load it up with crap for show. Thoughts?

That would work, but yes, I would agree it is a bit too small to look 'right'........ JMO....

Well, it is some what era correct. I'd go with it considering you don't have a factory one.

Isn't it an aftermarket design, from the Sixties? Seems I may have seen one, and it was on a sedan.

I'm no authority but this one is 60's. I recently found a website with different era racks that is interesting and informative. It probably is a tab bit small for this wagon. It looks really good on our Comet but my wife doesn't like it and it's her car. Oh well..

When our family started to go camping around 1961 or so, dad bought a roof rack like this one, with the suction cups, and straps to secure it to the drip rails. Probably manufactured by more than one company back then.

Perhaps you can share this information with the rest of the class?

That can be misinterpreted as "Classi Cracks."

These are not the racks you're looking for.
