Hello my name is Todd and I live in Wyoming. I currently do not have a wagon but I am a wagon nut. The first car ride I remember was in a 1968 Dodge wagon. Since then there has been a 1980 LTD wagon, 1982 LTD wagon, a 1964 Pontiac Safari wagon, and a 1986 chrysler Lebaron Town and Country wagon with Mark Cross leather interior with and a Daytona Turbo Z motor. I am currently trying to work a deal on a '66 Mercury Parklane wagon. While I am waiting for another wagon I am building a 1948 Ford C.O.E. that is riding on a '74 Chevy crew cab dually rolling frame. It will have a mid mounted motor and some kind of ramp bed. I also have a 1980 Mercury Capri that is a home built bracket car with the normal Fox body hot rod parts and the wife has a 2005 GTO with the LS2 6.0 and a 6 Speed. So as you can see we are a car family. I am retired Navy Chief and am currently employed as a police officer. Can't wait to start picking your brains when I get my new Battle Star.
to the wagon train, tor. Whoa...some nice stuff you have there! While you are looking for a wagon show us some of your other rigs.
Todd. Serving your country and your community, that's cool. Glad you found your way to The Forum...enjoy.
Good luck on getting that '66 Mercury wagon. Would that be considered a Colony Park? My first car was a '66 Mercury Montclair sedan with the 390. It had amazing power for such a big car. The 410 was standard, I think, on the Park Lane that year. I'm not sure what came standard on the Colony Park.
Well it is seven years later and no Mercury wagon but I have picked up a 1970 Fairlane wagon. She has some bumps and bruises but she is a good runner. Stock wheels were powder coated orange. 302 C4. I have a disc brake setup from one of my donor Rancheros that I will be putting on soon. I am trying to decide if it is getting a shaker or a GT hood.
Welcome back! Great looking Fairlane you have there! I may be in the minority, but I think a shaker hood scoop would look wicked awesome on that thing! Don't be a stranger. Keep us updated on your progress.
Welcome back, cool wagon. I'd go for a ford factory scoop of some sort. Keep us posted we love pictures
Well, I'm only 7 years late in my 'welcome' post........ I guess better late than never. Welcome to the forum, Todd, and that's an awesome Fairlane (Torino) wagon you have. I would definitely go with the shaker hood on there - it's one of the best-looking factory hood scoops, IMO. There's also the option of the Torino GT hood, but if it were me, I'd try to get the shaker. Marshall
