Don't know whether to sell it or work on it.
I've got it, just do not know much about Pontiac as all I work on or restore are Chevy's.
Wagon is powered with a V-6 is in excellent condition other than needing a fuel tank and tires.
Thinking about re-powering with a small block Chevy that I have just built and a 400 turbo but know nothing about this body style as far as what will work.
Maybe this is the place to ask.

    Any help appreciated.

The SBC should be an easy swap.

I have an '81 Malibu which I believe is the same body as your LeMans and it came with a V6. It has been replaced with a 350. Looks like factory. Should be a bolt in swap. If it were mine, I would make a nice little sleeper wagon with that 400.

Right you guys are. Been checking things out and the swap is a piece of cake. Parts availability is great and the SBC bolts right in. Need to check the differential to see is it the 8.5" 10 bolt or the smaller one. That could be a real issue. Don't want to get into spend much money on this one. Just usually work with what I have on hand.
Like i said, maybe just sell it but this sure is the place to gather information and make my mind up.

GM did a lot of engine/body swapping on their own. My wife has an 89 Cadillac with a 307 Olds engine. I have a 91 Olds with a 305 Chevy. She used to have a 93 Caddy with a 350 Chevy. The Chevy engine is the best choice. Tons of new/used parts around and the Chevy engine is easy to work on compared to the Olds. Fix up that Pontiac, you'll be gald you did!
