The third generation falcon (1966 - 1969.5) all had small block v8s available as an option. The 302 was phased in in early 1968 as the 289s were used up. These 3rd gen wagons are rare and good ones are hard to find. They have many common parts with fairlane wagon and rancheros from the same years.
Zekevin, if you need parts let me know as I will be preforming a restoration on my 69 Futura Wagon in the coming year.
BTW, I performed a AOD transmission swap two summers ago and love the additional mileage we get!

Nice looking Falcon wagon. Have you made any progress on it?

All the service work and updates were completed early last summer (2018). We have been enjoying this ride as a family and look forward to putting as many miles on it as we can. This is essentially a rust free CA car and is it is planned in the coming year for a complete repaint in the original blue. To do this I am planning on a total tear-down and reassembly when it gets painted. During that time we will replace all rubber seals for the windows, doors, and body. Will also be adding a NOS dealer installed AC system. :)

All other parts and systems are already restored/ serviced or updated.
    Cheers

Wow, your plans for this car sound very similar to what I want to do with my wagon. Pretty much everything you mentioned I want to do except I won't be doing a full repaint.
