Although I suppose you could live in the Caprice, the dealer is asking more than I paid for my first house.
As nice as you'll ever see, but you really gotta want it to spend that kind of money. It's the kind of car that shouldn't be driven but rather be put in a museum.
Wow! Beautiful car! Looks like Mr Rollick's car from back in the day! I'm pretty sure he rolled up more than 20k miles on his though. I'm pretty sure his was a 396 car also. Edit: Just finished looking at all the foto's, too much rust underneath for my tastes!
It is nice and has a couple of somewhat rare features. The rust underneath doesn't bother me, but that is just stupid money to ask for one of these. I don't know if I agree with the "optioned to the moon" comment. It has A/C (regular not Comfortron), AM/FM, and the 8-track. No options like power windows, power locks, tilt or cruise control that I can tell that everybody always pines for. It also looks like it has front discs. Driveable and enjoyable examples in great condition (albeit with higher miles) can be found for way less money. The only thing this car has going for it is the ultra low mileage, but then you can't drive it or you lose that. I'd rather have something I can drive.
Back on Ebay. The frame does not look that nice. Even at $20K it would need to come apart and stop the rust. Still would not be worth what you have in it.
