Scott seems like an honest guy. Wants the car to go to someone who loves it. Not just trying to make a profit.

I've always parked them outside year round but this one I'd make room for in the shop and would only come out on sunny days.

Cars sell better, when the "Stuff" one does begins with throwing the rocks and moving the vehicle to be sold at a location which doesn't betray the owner of being a rock chocker and a leak ignorer

Old cars leak. If the seller claimed it didn't I wouldn't trust them. The ad is very well written and transparent. The seller states the car has it's original drivetrain, so it's bound to leak a bit after 57 years. Just my two cents.

I think this is a beautiful car and would love to own it. I wish him luck with the sale.

We don't know if the leak originated from that particular car or not. I'm just saying that it looks bad, when he shows leaks and evidence of a misadjusted parking brake. He asks quite a bit of money for a vehicle which appears to be owned by someone who's neglecting repairs, whether or not the vehicle is indeed in need of repairs or not. If he mentions, in the add, that the vehicle leaks and the emergency brake doesn't operate properly, that's one thing. To show it in such photos defeats his purpose of getting the big money he's demanding

In case you don't know, the 1960 Chrysler-Dodge-Plymouth products, do not have park.

You push the neutral button and use the emergency brake to hold the car in place.

The emergency brake is a small drum at the end of the drive shaft and it is likely the tiny brake shoes inside that drum are not in good condition, hence the rock under the front wheel on his inclined driveway.

Ironically, the cheapest car in the Chrysler-Plymouth line, which was the Valiant, did have park, but the more expensive cars did not.

After what I consider gorgeous cars in 57-58, Chrysler styling and design just went whacko from 59-62/64 depending on the model. I mean CRAZY.

I know of drive shaft brakes, but did not know re- these old Chryslers, makes sense now.

Probably(?) a unobtanium part by now, or a OMG expensive one that is out there but very hard to find(?)....... none the less, it clearly shows by condition of the car, seller clearly is neglectful in it's up keep:slap::biglaugh::rofl2:
