Hello: My Name Is Aaron... I Live In Altoona Pa. I Found My Old Girl, On Craigslist In 2012....After A Trip To Clay Ny. We Brought The 62 Back On A Trailer. The Engine & Tran. In My Uncles Pickup......We Finally Get The Wagon Back In The Spring Of 2017. After Restoration...........The Next Step Was.....The Interior, It Was In Bad Need Of Cleaning, And It Looks Good After I Armoralled It, After A Good Scrubbing......The Wood Graining Was To Follow ( Done By My Father Don & I )......A Few Minor Issues Still To Get Thru, But The Major Headaches Are All Taken Care Of........ All In All It Was Worth It To Finally See The Old Girl Up & Running...

Turned out nice. Lovable color combo. It must have been quite a battle dealing with that Bondoed-over right rear quarter panel, taking 5 years to win. What can you tell us about the restoration?

Resto. Was Started In Oct 2012....The Interior Is Stock....Nothing Touched There. Front & Rear Seats Are In Good Shape, Some Cracking Along The Top On Front.Seat. ( Hawaiian Seat Covers Solved That).........Original Floor Matting In Good Shape.......Armor All Does Wonders..... Headliner Has Some Issues Above Tailgate But Other Wise In Good Shape.... ..The Engine & Trans. Were Already Out Of The Car.....So, The Engine Bay Was Painted & Engine/Trans. Dropped Back In... All The Dents/Dings Were Removed...Primed & Then She Got Stuck In The Corner Of The Shop For 3 Years.......Til I Blew My Top & Threatened Legal Action If My Car Wasn't Done & Returned....So, One Night In The Rain, They Show Up Half Drunk & PUSH My Car Off A Trailer & Leave...I've Had $400 In Electrical Issues That Needed Fixed, Along With A Host Of Other Things That Didn't ..... A. Get Done .... B. Got Half Done .....C. Got Half Assed Or ....D. Is Missing Or Broken......But I'm Thankful We Finally Got It Looking Good,

Well, at least those drunks didn't try charging for storage. They must have had low overhead, to afford laziness.
$400 is quite steep, for electrical issues. Especially, on such a simple car. It would have been much cheaper to replace the entire wiring harness with a new one, if you could still get one. But, even then, electrics are never that dramatic, if the electrician is genuine. I hope, for all other vintage car owners, that you only had bad luck. It would be scary to think that so many shops, on average, are that incompetent with old school tech.

Welcome. Great looking car. I have a soft spot for the early 60s Falcons. I like the wood grain. What engine and trans does it have?

I was never really "into" the early Falcons when I was younger. I liked all old cars, but the Falcon didn't catch my fancy until we started rebuilding my father-in-law's 63 Ranchero.

Now I'm really "into" the early falcons.

By the way, your interior cleaned up real nice. I looks great.
