I am sure there was more than one "Valley Ford" but this may be from my home town of Yakima WA.

    Here's a photo from 1970:

Looks like the same place to me.

^^ If you had those Fords lined up there today, in showroom condition, I'm guessing that's around $375,000 - maybe more. (I put $200k on the Boss 429....)

I'd lean to the "maybe more" side. The Boss 302 is a big dollar car and the Mach 1 on the end would be as well if it were a Cobra jet.

Either way I thought both photos were neat. To see a snapshot of the neat vehicles that once roamed the streets of my home town and the thought that some may still be around.

    I believe it's real.

I've been watch this week's TV special about how cars made America. They compare prices. It's amazing Henry Ford's $5 day equals around $350 a day now. Most of those cheap cars were beyond what many blue collar workers could afford. No wonder I was always broke.

I thought the show was interesting, but they should of done better with the cars and pictures used. Pretty sure Ed Cole (GM) didnt put a Ford v8 in a mercury with no badges, Deloren probably didnt use a Buick and on the introduction of the Chevy smallblock we saw Pontiac pictures. All in all it was worth seeing.

I was surprised no mention of the Ford flathead until the 1949 Ford. The flathead also changed America as did the Chevy V-8. Still an interesting series.
Someday those cars of tomorrow will be part of Wagons in vintage street scenes for my grandkids to look at.
