Hello, I just want to introduce myself - my name is Andreas, 43 years living close to Hamburg in the north of Germany and a Dad of 4 kids (from 8 to 14 years). Thats why my latest project is not again a Mustang or Thunderbird Now I am working to get my 1963 Country Squire Station back on track. I bought it as a fresh painted but complete disassembled car with some important parts missing. My special thank in this matter to the Member Squatch / Mike who helped me out of serious trouble !!!! I will never forget what he did for me ... You can imagine how rare this cars are, especially here in Europe / Germany ?! The car is complete free of rust, nothing welded. It was build in October 63 in LA and was on the road in Arizona, untill it came to Germany in 2005. The 390 engine already is running smooth and powerful again, so I am in hope I will get it on the road next month.... This is a great site !!!!! All the best from Germany, Andy
Welcome to the wagonfest! Never seen woodwork like that. Obviously custom finishes. Looks in great condition. Good thing that it's in good hands and cared for.
Thanks ! Yes the woodgrain is special I know the Squires was mahagony on the sides - but as I bought the car it was already painted red....that is not the original color and I don´t like dark woodgrain on the red paint, so I decide to go with light oak woodgrain and just painted the moldings in mahagony. It is custom like but I like it Andy
That's the nice part of restoring an old wagon. You can do a Sinatra on it. "My Way". It does look in excellent condition. You'll have to show us the interior pictures soon, too, hey?
Of course - as soon as I have installed the new carpet in "dark gold" . It is actually in NY waiting to be shipped to Germany
well seeing i have a 64 ColonyPark...i guess im biased but hey.....NICE wagoon !!..... so what did Squatch find you?
Welcome to the forums! I really like the color wood you used on the '63, has a nice classy look to it.
