Hi I think I posted this hello and info in wrong spot, so I will just re post here - sorry about that. Hope everyone is having a great weekend . Great site enjoying looking thought it and getting to know about fellow members. I'm a big wagon fan, not sure why they interest me but I'm drawn to them in a big way. I'm currently building a 59 Buick wagon that I have had for a number of years. I wasn't able to get at with the customer work I had on the go. I'm semi retired now and this fall it will have my full attention. I'm custom building the chassis and running a Duramax for power. I raced cars most of my adult life, starting in road racing GT-2 then GT-1 before going stock car racing in a touring regional super pro stock series. I have been professional building cars since 2000. And just recently decided to slow down. The Buick build will reflect my racing and built in a pro touring direction. I also just purchased a real sweet 55 Chrysler wagon, all original including original paint. Not sure what I will do with it yet? Looking forward to meeting every one on the board. Cheers Mack
Welcome to the madness Mack! Those sound like a couple great wagons. Hope you'll post up some ! Enjoy!
Thank you for the reply, looking forward to the madness as you say, it's just about getting time to jump in. Being very honest here I'm not real great with the computer, I will have to read how to load photos and were to do that. Posting the photo of my newest wagon was very easy. I'm looking forward to learning more about this 55 Chrysler and I'm sure this will be a great place to start. Suspension is what I really like to do, so if any members are up grading there suspension on there wagons - I will do my best to help out. Because I likely won't be on the site in any regular fashion feel free to email me directly-if that's permitted? Cheers Mack
Welcome Mack. I just happen to love those Chrysler products you are playing with. Just because you are and adult now doesn't mean you have to act like one. Have fun and say hi to your neioghbor "fannie".
Mack, just saw your update. Many of us here know little about computers. That doesn't stop us from checking in, asking questions, letting others know what we've been up to, and other almost important car facts. Like playing wth cars, it will come to you in no time.
Welcome. I am new to wagons but have been into stock cars since I was 5. Look forward to watching your progress.
Welcome Mack! I am completely computer illiterate and also a wagon lover. I haven't looked a computer screen in years. But I drive a wagon everyday
Where I've lived most stock car drivers had to be 18 or older. It must have been difficult seeing thru the steering wheel and hitting the brakes at the same time.
I seem to spend 23 1/2 hours most days staring at a large curved monitor, I'm still illiterate, and I love anything on wheels. When I see the word MACK I think of a big chrome grille with a bull dog on the hood.
Another Bluenoser aboard, nice to meet you. Hubby was a couple of brothers who used to race stock cars, not pro stock, at the airport...but that was a NUMBER of years ago. Most, not all, find pc a challenge but we seem to get things figured out with a little help from our friends around here. Some of them knew a bit about wagons too. If you need help with the picture posting just ask. Trying to find the time to work on your wagon project is a common obstacle around here, but it sounds like you have a time line worked out. So what are you planning to do?
