Those "intermediate" Fords blimpt out, ending with the 4th generation, before shrinking back to the originally intended size. Weight was going that direction, also. Never drop in a mill, without first renewing the plugs. They ain't difficult to replace. Maintaining the coolant, one should never have problems with them.

Agreed. Great deal for a big block in that condition. Intermediate Mercury's (Cougars & Montegos) can be hit or miss.
