Well you might have a good point. My dad had me wash and wax his 1966 Impala so often, when we lived in Oshawa, Ontario, that there was no paint left on some parts of the roof and it rusted pretty bad by 1974. Bird poop ate through what I didn't rub off.

If one of us had put this car there,I'd be saying it looks like somebody's selling their parts car and they're done with it...But the ad mentions demolition derby,so they'd just gotten done taking off all the "unimportant parts" and thrown 'em away. And said, hey, let's take pictures of the "good job" we just finished and see if we can't get somebody to buy this "project car".:taz:

I bought a 73 impala wagon 2 years ago in this condition for $300 with the intention of turning it into a sleeper rat rod. I learned alot about how much fixing something like this can cost, just to get it back o the road. Basically you can still find a decent clamshell for $3000. That makes it hard to justify putting $3000 into this car. I ended up trading that 73 wagon for my 74 impala that ran bc a demo guy wanted a roundback so much. Im still sore that the restoration shop I was working with put me off so long even though I was willing to pay to make that 73 wagon a 454 monster. Just imagine pulling up next to some 2008/9 camaro or mustang and blowing there doors off with a big block 4 barrel/dual exhaust well tuned safari rust bucket. To me thats fun.:yahoo:

A few of my cars,I bought in just slightly better condition than that, for 4-$500---so I'd have something to drive around in.
