I don't understand your question Norm. What else can be done about what?

Basic freedom and privacy are at stake. Good people shouldn't be watched. However, I do see what is being done with this system. However, the system may start with good intentions then morph into watching for everything. In the U.S. the FBI haven't always been so lawful and may certainly not be so today under the guise of "war on terror". I have no idea how many of my buisiness and personal phone calls have been listened to nor do I know if my government computer is being watched. I just assume that it is.

When governments begin "spying" on the population then there are problems with who is in charge. "Government by the people for the people" needs to be re-introduced in the U.S.

I don't like the idea and I don't know if the English people can do anything about it under their laws.

These :camera: 's are for more population control:whip:. They want us to :ignore:and keep us in our place :hide: otherwise :Blasting_anim:. We can be as  as we like but they insist these are the:rulez:. We no longer have a say , for things like this; big brother simply does it now. When we protest and rally to restore our rights it's just like :deadhorse:.
I've mentioned this in other threads, but the intrusion of gov into our lives is really frightening.

What's next????........be warned it could be bedroom cam!!!!

Put those plastic magnifiers on and the cameras can't read it, except straight on. These cameras only work from a street post, about a 30 to 40 degree angle. A little bit of refraction and they're NFG!!! :D

What ELSE it can be used for?? Invasion of our rights IS what it's used for. And Blackie has it right. We are no longer free in our once great country. For the People, by the people??? What a joke! What burns me most is that we sit and take it! Bitching about it ain't gonna solve it! It is getting worse everyday with our present regime. Not to mention them giving the country away. If I was younger I would be looking at islands in the sun.....

I think the Westminster Parliamentary system is up for a shakeup. We never get to elect our National Leaders. They never have to convince the country that they really are qualified, and we can't even fund our MPs to properly represent us. In Canada, we don't need a Federal Government at all! 5 million people of a total labour force of 19 million working in one level of government or another. Just a bit too much overhead! :taz:

I think we're all getting sick and tired of the damage that Partisanship does with every change over. Something is going to crack and I hope I'm already cremated because good ash should be hard to find.:rofl2:

I've never been critical of my country and loved it while growing up here. Now? Don't EVEN get me started!! Again...what pisses me of most is that the people KNOW what's going on and sit around grumbling about it. The government no longer even uses the slight of hand anymore. They just tell you thaey are going to screw you. It' like..."what are you going to do about it?" Well...I have some ideas....but....don't get me started.

I fully agree with you. I'm not sure what happens up there when someone does take a stand? Some other places and here I notice those who do stand against gov policies tend to be discredited.
An analogy, would be the way one who claims to have seen a ufo, is discredited. (A bit of a stretch sorry, but I hope you follow?:)).
Government down here put things into play without public consultation anymore. If you were to listen to pollies talk on the media, they really do dictate!
The times when they may be concerned about public reaction, is the time the armies of 'Spin Doctors' come out......but they still go ahead with what they had planned?.
(I'll knock off for now it's 2.13am Thursday June 4th. It's hard work communicating from the future:))

:mischeif: Ya know, the license plate flips down on the Caprice for the gas filler.
I suppose I could drive with it down, "accidentally" forgetting to flip it up after a fill.
