These all sound like great ideas. finsrin, if your club does end up doing the Ellensburg to Yakima cruise through the canyon this summer, let me know. I'd love to meet up with your group. My car is a 64, but I think it would fit in. I may even be able to convince a few friends to join in.

What I heard mentioned is May. Probably meet from around at Issaquah. Take side roads when reach Cle Elum. Eats at Red Horse Diner then cruise the canyon. You meet us at Red Horse and do the canyon together.

The Red Horse is a GREAT place to visit and the food is wonderful to boot. I can certainly do that trip. Keep me posted as details are sorted out.

I suppose getting the word out is the hardest part. I would be up for a north Florida cruise.

We had a nice car club here called Tri-County Cruisers in the three counties along the Gulf and Suwannee river. It took several of us a few years to get it going then after we had over 100 couples or members, too much bickering caused it to fail. We'd get free prizes, trophies, etc and travel to other cruises on our off days. put on shows and had a great time. We'd go around 100 miles limit to cruises and car events, plus 140 miles to Daytona shows.
So many clubs come and go, just like internet groups and anything else. I sure miss our gang and the great times we had. Too many of us got old, and too many accused others of running off with club money to buy things. Others didn't like certain types of cars, trucks, or members. :badwords:it happens.
