Reminds me of Silver Streak: "That's how you murdered your victims? Put 'em in a car and bounced 'em to death?" "What are you slowing down for?" "There's a truck up ahead." "So there's a truck up ahead! We Da Man! Let's turn the siren on, get them hippies off the road! Put some foot into it! Move it!" *another tractor-trailer rig pulls out in front of them* "Oh, God!" *cruiser spins out in the dirt* "Would you like to drive for a while?" "Fasten yourself in, partner, ain't got nothin' to worry about. I got the nerve and I got the touch. Better pull it tight. Real tight. I used to do this all the time back home in Texas." "Do what?" "Dem-O-Lition Derby!!"
Cool movie reference! That was a 1972 Dodge patrol car, wasn't it? Polara, I guess. Silver Streak was my 2nd favorite childhood movie - topped only by Poseidon Adventure.
Ha ha, the Poop-Side-Down Adventure! I loved Mad Magazine! As a little kid, The Love Bug was my favorite, then Silver Streak, Silent Movie, Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein came along for laughs. But they all were blown away by my experience in seeing Star Wars at the drive-in for the first time (actually, it was the first two times--we stayed for the second showing)!
