'72 Ford LTD Country Squire on C/L - Concord, NH

Looks pretty good. But don't you think the seller would have a better chance of selling if the carburetor didn't need rebuilding and the gas tank didn't need cleaning? :confused:

I don't know. Aside from a carb, gas tank cleaning, and small dent in rear bumper it's a nice looking wagon. I'd say some dickering and maybe try to get it running, might be a decent buy.

 

Rare PW option helps a lot. Also nice looking red interior.

I notice after looking at the late models with mostly a grey or maroon cheap cloth interior these older vehicles are looking good!
Only how could we drive them without GPS, back up monitor, and knobs sticking out?

 

And not one computer in the whole car!!!

 

It must have been so confusing driving those primitive 60-80's old cars.
How can you ever back up without a camera?
Even more, how would I ever get to my Wal-Mart without someone in my dash telling me how?

Oh, and the 72 Country Squire is nice.

 

That car has been of the road for awhile, that inspection sticker is more than several years old.

 

Most likely the reason the gas tank and carb are bad. Lots of large cars were parked when gas prices went up. Still with some repair work it may be a good wagon. Tires, brakes, and other things will also need replaced.

 

Interesting how rare it is to see power windows in the '69-'72 generation. They became much more common in the '73-'78s. I think that after the oil embargo, big cars became virtual near luxury cars, because having one that large became a luxury.

I don't think that red/red was a very common combination in that generation either. I've seen a few '73-'78s with this color scheme, but I can't recall ever having seen a red Panther chassis Country Squire (maroon and burgundy -- yes, but not red).
