    September Hemmings compares 70s wagons.
    Different to see wagons featured.
    Figure many of us will find it interesting.

    History

    After we moved to Floriduu I stopped getting Hemmings.
    I remember getting free mimeograph pages of parts for sale at swap meets by Ernie Hemmings years ago then getting the magazine for many more years as it grew. Bought lots of parts and found many car events thru Hemmings .
    Drove from where we were camped near Springfield, Ill to Quincy to buy Model T parts from Ernie out of his small one car wood garage.
    Very nice man and car friendly. That was the beginning of Hemmings Motor news, a man selling new and used parts from home.

    OMG!:biglaugh:

    Since I brought up car magazines. (y)Anyone remember CARS & PARTS? It was another Illinois car book out of Sessor, Illinois not far from Carbondale. That and Hemmings were my favorites for many years. Both were sold to upper east coast publishing companies.
    Cars & Parts was strickly antique car related and a high quality shiny mag. Not sure if it's still out but I have lots of old copies left.

    Yes, my dad. The same man who said my sister's perfume she got for Xmas back in '79 was made by kicking the stomach of a pregnant emu, and referred to a professional figure skating team, within earshot of Mom, as "The Group Grope."

    Something smells!

    Speaking of perfumes, I remember my old aunt and the women in the office where I worked smelling so strong that a male elephant in heat urinating on a flat rock in July smelled better, or a Giraffe. Ya ever smelled a Giraffe?:slap:

    Are we on topic?:oops:mg::nohijacking:
