455 V8. Anyone know if this special model is legit or just a creative dealer option package? Info on the web conflicts. https://cincinnati.craigslist.org/cto/5052342468.html
Tuxedo Collection, huh? That sounds like a dealer (or regional) marketing deal; or the owner simply calling it that. Only way to know for certain is to contact Pontiac Historical and find out. I'd want the seller to do that to prove this "Tuxedo" thing is a factory deal or not.
Car sold on egay for a lot less, apparently: https://www.ebth.com/items/1926345-1975-pontiac-grand-prix-lj $9,700 then. Claimed to be one of 14,855 Gran Prix LJ cars manufactured – approximately 17% of all ’75s produced. And it IS indeed a dealer deal - A 1975 Pontiac Grand Prix, Model LJ with dealer-specific Tuxedo Collection package. A very nice car, no doubt!!! Here is another, offered by a dealer in Parma, OH...no price: http://www.bobgford.com/gillypics/75grandprix_ad/75grandprixad.htm By far, the most engaging and attractive paint scheme on mid-'70s Pontiacs, bar none!
