Noticed my old man chair was spun facing the house to find the mail man left a package on it. I thought bonus when I saw where it came from, then I picked it up and things were moving inside witch got my curiosity going even more. When I went in the back door the dogs went nuts, didn't care about me but were Psycho about the package, I barley got it opened and it was almost ripped from my hand...tails were a waging and noses were a sniffing.... I had to get mad for them to lave me alone!

Then after I beat them away with a stick and got the stuff out I dropped the empty box on the floor........ It didn't last long and got completely shredded! Mainly Griffin who wanted to eat the box!

Then as I was preparing a "thanks" thread Griffin who has NEVER EVER jumped on the table...... he wanted to eat and eat now!
........ Little **** jumped rite in front of me as I was trying to take a pic!.... Must be gooood stuff:29:

Well after I beat the dogs off with a can of WD40 and a Bic lighter.......... OMG, I don't know where to begin eating:dance:

..Other than the tabasco, you just don't find this stuff up in my part of Canukastan! OOOhhhhhhh, I got cooking plans I tell's ya, this fat guy is eating Cajun !!!. Saving everything especially the jambalaya for when deb gets home...shrimp and sausage for that one. Tomorrow night though I'm making the recipe from the back of "Slap Ya Mama" for me and the boys............( AND I got a cool tire hat for the summer)

    From the package....
    ""WILDA MARIE'S LAZY POTATOES""
    4 cups diced potatoes, peeled
    1 cup chopped bell peppers
1/2 cup cut onion tops optional( no option, they are going in on this one!)
1, 10oz can cream of mushroom soup
    3/4 cup water
1-2 cups diced smoked (gona be 3(y))
1/2-1 Tbsp "Slap Ya Mama" Cajun Seasoning

AND................:2_thumbs_up_-_anima:2_thumbs_up_-_anima:2_thumbs_up_-_anima:2_thumbs_up_-_anima I have seen these online and on the forum, but never have found these in any store on the island.

Red beans and rice, sho' is nice! :thumbs2:
What a coincidence. We were driving around last night looking for food, and .stopped into a new little hole in the wall restaurant nearby for some Cajun crawfish and crab. :drink:

You probably can't get fresh live blue crabs where you live, but I'll bet you can make do with the local crabs just fine.

Comfort Food.... that nails the description dead on! I did the "Slap Ya Mama" recipe above last night but subbed carrots and green string beans for the bell peppers and used local fresh made smoked turkey famers sausage, not even 15 minutes prep time.....

........OMG DROOLING GOOD!!, [IMG], I've never had that kind of "zap" in spices that didn't come with the kick ya in the guts after. Having the rest tonight for left overs and I'll bet it's like a pot of chili, better the next day(y)

Just me and the boys at home for awhile, really can't wait for deb to come home from visiting her parents in Ontario....yeah I miss her but I really want to cook all this stuff with/for her:p

The thing is Deb is out of town and his daughter is out of the country. He has only the dogs to keep an eye on him. I think they are as bad as Tedy eating junk food!:rofl2:
