1967 Chevrolet Impala Station Wagon, Ermine White with red interior. 283 ci. power glide, power steering. power rear window. 73000 actual miles. Exceptionally nice car. I purchased this car in 2009 from the Original Lady owner. She said she bought it off the showroom floor brand new in 1967. She said she went through 3 husbands and always managed to keep this car. She lived in Bocca Raton Fl. and she said she always got a thumbs up when driving it. She always kept it garaged and gave me the blankets she covered it with. All original paint with the exception some touch up along bottom to keep the car in check. This car is as nice of a original you can find including the interior, engine and its station wagon wheels which are a little wider than standard. The doors open and shut with very little effort. Always garaged. It needs a water pump and some front end ball joints. The 283 ci. motor runs nice and smooth. Storage is becoming a problem so if interested call Tim at 1 785 506-6711. The price is 9500.00 Dollars or best offer. Thanks

For $9500 how about ponying up for a new water pump.

Well, $9,250 now - but that was what I was thinking. People are quite possibly going to want to test-drive it, and its got a bad water pump? Should be fixed before it's sold.

It boggles my mind that people asking close to five figures for a car are willing to offer it "as is" instead of executing a $100 repair to make the car driveable. Is the profit margin that tight?

    ...or needs a battery.

A water pump on a '67 Chevy can be replaced by any automotive repair shop for pretty cheap even if the owner isn't up to the task.

Looks lke a nice $5000 wagon at tops. Wonder why one of her three husbands didn't change the water pump?
I see the little old lady left her go cart in the back.

I'd pay $7,500, WITH a new water pump, ball joints and alignment. I owned several '66 - '68 Impalas, Biscaynes and BelAirs back in the late '70s, but no wagons. My favorites are the '67 cars, for a variety of reasons. I'd roll in this in a heartbeat! The big negatives (to me) about this car is it has only a 283 (I'd go 327 or 396) and no air conditioning.

Why in the hell can't NEW cars be this simple?

I've been ashamed of some of the offers I made on things. Then been accepted!
I've also been made offers too low that I accepted. Sometimes the hassle is not worth the time.

The house we've lived in that past 21 years I offered half the asking price and they accepted. The one we recently bought in Illinois already had an offer. I offered a stinkin $100 over the list price and got it. Then I offered a rediculous price for most furnishings and they accepted. They even threw in a free $800 grandfather clock, plus washer/dryer, etc.
Like you said all they can do is say no....and other words! You just never know.
