Buy a factory service manual. The diagrams and all the other info you need will be there. Used copies are on ebay all the time.

Lucky you. My '79 had a putrid 4.4L. Even with an aftermarket 4-barrel, I couldn't beat an EFI 2.9L Ranger pickup.

That's why most Malibu's have Big Blocks now and hard to find one that has not been cut up for a drag car. :D

I had an 80 Malibu 2-door with a 229. I don't know what that is in L's.:slap: But it seemed to run decent. Mostly I drug it behind my motorhome or used it on scenic roads where I drove like a tourist.

That was the Chebby V6 (a Buford V6 is 231 CID), a fairly rare engine for the A-/G-body intermediates from '78 to '81.

    What are you looking for?
There are many, many pages in the Service Manual that relate to emissions.

Is there something specific you need?
I should be able to scan the appropriate page for you.

Was looking to get rid of it all, wanted the schematic to be sure I disconnected the right stuff, but thanks anyway, should have my service manual by Friday so that will be my best guide.

How far are you going? Are you changing the distributor to a vacuum advance version? Are you going to upgrade/change the carb? Are you removing the A.I.R. system?
