    Hi,
I have a Plymouth Station Wagon. (See: http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33604 ) It gets a lot of attention here in the UK and I enjoy owning it. I have been wondering about the registration plates or license plates that it had while it was in the US. Is there anyway of tracing what the original plates were? I could perhaps the get a set of show plates made up. It did originate in Ohio, that much I know. I'd be grateful for any ideas - you never know!
    Drive safely and take care!

Rusty1 I never did find out the year of your wagon. But here's my suggestion. I know it can work because many years ago I collected license plates, also known as tags by some.
Check the internet for a set of Ohio plates for the year of your wagon. I have a 1955 Florida plate legally issued to my wagon. It was never on mine and I picked it up at a large car show and swap meet. This is how many here do it.

Some states and maybe in the UK it is possible to legally put your Ohio plates on at least for shows and cruising. The way this works is you keep your regular issued plates inside the vehicle. It's worth a try.
There is no way you will ever find the original tags for your wagon. The only way this is possible is if you buy the vehicle with the old tags on it. Most DMV's will not give out this information.

Unless you can find the original owner and they happen to have a copy of the registration, it's not going to happen. Just go on ebay and type in the year and state of the plates you want and you'll have plenty of choices. Ohio uses a front and rear plate, so if you wanted to look authentic, you would have to make sure you are buying a pair of plates.

    Thank You!

    Hi Folks,
Thank you for your replies, advice and suggestions. I can see that my best way will be to purchase a set of '73 Ohio plates.
    Regards,
    Rusty1
