    Sharp Nomad!

I got to change out what I imagine was the original fuel filter on the wagon on Saturday. It was pretty nasty! What I poured out of that filter was Oklahoma red dirt red! The car runs MUCH nicer now...surprise surprise!

Ya know, every time I buy a vehicle, I always change out the fuel filter. When I got my "83 CP, It took me nearly a week to find a replacement for the spin-on filter they used (same as the Lincoln Mk VI). The fuel I dumped out of it was nearly black, it was so bad. Even with that, I still eventually had to replace the fuel pump, it was so tired. Man it ran like a raped ape after that.

Sanding down exterior trim on my 64 Squire, what a chore! I over heated my compressor. Hope to find a vinyl shop to "shrink wrap" the trim without breaking the bank. Pray for my compressor!

Hopefully the compressor just overloaded and will reset after cooling. I bought my Sears 1/2 horse back in 1964 and painted several cars, one piece at a time. It must have overloaded a million times. I paid good money for it back in 1964 and the darn thing stopped working about a month ago. I don't think it's under waurantee yet.

Put later model roof rack on my wagon, did a Texas Mike cleaning on it (Well, almost) and drove it down to the Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge and Honey Island Swamp. That was about 2 weeks ago...now it needs a good cleaning again with all the rain we been having!

Love the scenery but there's a darned old car in the way in every picture!!!!!!!!!

The wagon is looking great. So now you can load it with luggage and travel.
Who stole the side window trim piece?

The "Fly away" panel flew away, on the Interstate! When I got it, it was missing the other side, I found one and primed it, then I lost the other one and haven't found one for that side yet...

I noticed the junk yard wagon didn't have those. Next time you'll have to epoxy them on.

That old iron bridge sure brings back memories of Illinois and a few small rivers there.
We used to dive off a RR bridge like that and fish off a car bridge. There are still a few left being used on back roads.
The RR one near here is now a bike path over the Suwanne River. Close by is an old sunken paddle wheeler.

Actually much of what's in those pictures looks like where we live except the wagon.

Might want to look into a process called hydro dipping. I have seen some really nice results from it.

    Nice pictures.

I decided I needed a custom hood ornament.

Over the weekend I tuned up the 78 Catalina Safari, and replaced all the 37 year old Hoses, and Fluids (exept the Trans Fluid that will wait until the shift kit and cooler instal) I can't believe I did not notice the rear brakes were not working!!!!! The hard line to the rear axle had a clog in it. After clearing the clog, adjusting and cleaning the rear brakes and bleeding the entire system the car stops extreamly well now. I also changed the Vacuum lines (seemed like miles of them) and managed to break off one of the heater core tubes when changing the spark plugs!!!!!!
I thought it was going to be a nightmare finding the correct heater core to use with the after market A/C system, but it turned out to be the stock non-A/C heater core!!! Also changed the Belts, seems to run much better now.
Still have to replace the original fuel hoses on the fuel tank. Good weekend of work.
