    My mother had the third total hip replacement ever done when she fell off a pier onto ice when she was 18 in the early 60's. I know how painful it can be - she's on her 3rd total replacement. Please find a competent doctor and get it done right.

    it was done using the latest technology , not like they did it years ago . this was called an anterior replacement and this weekend we went to the park and walked over a mile on the nature trail with not a single complaint that something hurt

    Good. I've heard plenty of horror stories about bad hip replacements. My mother always had an inside track since she volunteered to be a test subject for life. Her latest one should last her the rest of her life.
