My wife wanted to go to Pennsylvania to spend some time with friends, drinking, watching some UFC, drinking.... I did a little gambling (managed to come out on top enough to pay for the hotel room for the weekend)

We left Georgia Thursday, stopped just south of Richmond, VA for the night (we got a late start - we spent the morning with the grand baby). Rode to Baltimore to pick up a couple friends to finish the ride to Bethlehem PA to the Sands Casino / Resort.

"Sorry, sir, we seem to have given your room to someone else, but here, let us upgrade you to a King Suite ..."

    ok.

The sands is made from one of the largest steel / iron mills in the world before it went belly up. Had two offers to buy The Beast while we were there, turned both down (one for 6,000 the other for 8,000). Took a picture in front of some of the older parts of the mill that haven't been re-purposed yet... figuring most of the steel for The Beast came from that mill anyway.

We're working our way back to Georgia now. Had to put about a 1/2 quart of oil in last night, but we've also put on about 1500 miles in less than a week.

Half a quart over 1500 miles is not great, but not bad, either. As long as you don't lose more than 1 quart, you shouldn't have any problems.

Had a great time. Even had some guy yell at me going down the road wanting to know what year it was. Talked to an Asian family at a rest stop for about 10 minutes. I love this car.

Yeah, there's oil on top of the right side valve cover. Need to dig into it find out whats up.

Not a lot, just some gotta be flopping into there from somewhere.

The #8 cylinder burns a touch, not even enough to foul the plug, just enough to notice.

How's the paint holding up? My in-laws had an '86 the same color and all the blue paint fell off. My father-in-law repainted it with Duplicolor spray cans and it was actually an improvement. It wasn't partially pink anymore.
