Im looking at picking up a 1950 chevy Woody tin Deluxe station wagon, the question I have is, how collectible are these, is there a source for sheet metal parts the one im looking at will need floors rockers and rear fenders , it is a complete car minus the engine and transmission(which I don't mind as I would put something else in there, he wants $2200, any help would be much appreciated

Sounds like a fun project. I came close to buying one of those for years. I was always in too big of a hurry to stop and check on it so went past one for many years.
I would imagine that vendors dealing in Chevys of similar years may have what you need. Or patch panels can be made.
If the rest is decent, mostly rust free, and fairly straight it might be a good buy.

Look at Chevys of the 40's website, or try the Truck and Car Shop in Orange Ca. They both may have what you are looking for.

Wagons from that era are rare. Most were run into the ground. Whenever I take my 1950 Pontiac wagon to shows it attracts a crowd, even though it is a work in progress.

My experience is that EMS produces the BEST patch panels. They are expensive but made of heavy gauge metal and they FIT! I am building a 51 CHEV TIN WOODY!
I am looking for 2nd row seating from an Olds of that era that folds down.
I would be glad to help in any other way.
    All the best! Alan.
