That's one of the many characteristics of pre-'80's cars I miss, is the rectangular gauge design, specifically the speedometer. Wish GM would bring that back. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima

I'd agree, only if they were at least this pretty. Later ones looked downright cheap

I think the aluminum Corvette wheels really look good on it.

Hey guys, the wagon is mine and I have decided to hold onto it... ironically, I was contacted by a very nice gentleman with another wagon that I'm buying as a donor! I am also very excited that my wife has agreed to let me keep it given our first child will be born any day now and she had directed me to liquidate the cars.

I had two gentlemen very interested, and both owned restoration shops that wanted it to use as a "show piece". One of the guys and his partner disagreed, but the bottom line is that nobody really knows how much they are worth fixed up. The other guy wanted to give me 5300, which I would have done without some of the extra parts - but that was the deal breaker. (I have a pristine 1973 dash pad and full gauge cluster that I didn't want to part with for that price.)

A couple of years ago (maybe more...) there was a VERY nice '73 SS wagon on E-bay. It was loaded, including a 454 IIRC. Needed nothing. I think it went for around $23k..........

These are so rare, and don't get the interest that the '68-'72 Chevelles get that it's a crapshoot what another nice one would bring. One very interested buyer is not enough. You need at least two.
