A warning about SOS pads to clean tires and bumpers. Be gentle because it can cause scratches. I've used them for years and over time on old chrome it seems to get tiny swirls or scratches over time. This could also be just part of the aging of the tire and the chrome parts. I notice I have a few scratches and swirls of my own over time. Another good cleaner is Comet on a soft rag. I've added a sprinkle of Comet to my damp SOS pads. And now back to our regularly scheduled program.
I agree with the cautions on using the SOS pads too frequently to clean the tires. The abrasive nature of the pads may eventually lead to a rough looking edge where the whitewall meets the blackwall. The black rubber in that section can be sort of thin and can be worn away with a lot of abrasive scrubbing over time, and that can be especially true with older tires when dry-rot may be in early stages. Now that the whitewalls are looking good, I would switch off to just using the Wesley's Bleche-White with a scrub brush. It really all depends on how often you wash/detail the car. If you wash it once a month or so, you shouldn't need the big guns. If you let it go for 6 months, you might need the pads again.
