I agree. Not very exciting but probably a good little car for someone. And, 30 mpg would make it pretty economical.
Treasure Coast, not too far from me, I'll bet. Okay, it's boring as sin, but I'd swap this money trap 2000 Nissan Xterra for it in a minute. I had the '95 sedan with the 4 cylinder, it was such a trouble free car. I can't keep doing crazy things with cars, my Custom Cruiser is likely my last old car.
This is my sorta thing. I can DEFINITELY get excited about a $2800 car with under 50K original miles, ESPECIALLY if it's a three seat wagon, and even if it's front drive. A-bodies are excellent cars and this is the final year of the platform with a modern 3100 engine (they JUST stopped using that engine in what, 2005?), overdrive automatic, antilock brakes, a driver airbag, and it's clean and straight. So many of these rusted out and got abused by kids and fools that they're starting to be a rare sight in some parts of the country.
Pretty nice A-body. This one is just plain bread and butter, but with some minor and easy exterior tweaks these can be good looking cars. The car below was for sale in NM a month or so ago with 71k miles. Original asking price was $2995, but he dropped it to $2500 after a week. It must have sold quickly after that since the ad disappeared. This one had the optional gauge cluster and the rare console and floor shift.
That's a pretty one, I always did like the concept of bucket seats and consoles in wagons, and four door hardtops. Never saw a late Cutlass wagon with buckets, nor an earlier one that I recall. I mean factory installed, saw the owner installed.
