Just keep in mind that you could fly up to BWI airport near Baltimore, buy the Monaco wagon in Delaware and take it home to Florida on the Auto Train, for less than the 68 Polara wagon in Florida.

Auto Train? I need to look that up.

I did take a quick look at the 68 in Daytona today. The interior is very good. The seats are excellent and the only fading/scuffs I saw was on the trim panels in the cargo area.

The car runs and drives well.

The body does have a few issues. While the patina is just right and most all of the trim is there I did note a few issues:

    1. The front doors had holes in them (6) from a set of trailer mirrors.
    2. All of the door hem flanges were crumbling. No rust on the outside but the inside flanges
    were bad.
    3. The bottom of the tire well was rotten. Just a guess but a 6" patch would fix it.
    4. The Driver 1/4 panel behind the tire is in pretty bad shape and needs major rust repair.

For this kind of money, I'm going to pass and keep looking for something with a lot less rust.

Auto train goes from Orlando, FL to Lorton, Virginia. Still another 2 to 3 hour drive depending on where in Delaware the Monaco is. Still it is an option.
Last year at Turkey Rod Run at Daytona, I spoke with the owners of a beautiful 59 Country Squire wagon who has taken his classic wagon on the Auto Train for trips to the mid Atlantic region. Says they are very careful of the vehicles and take a video walk around of the car before it's loaded.
