I originally saw this '64 Country Squire on another forum (can't remember which - I don't think it was this forum) after the car had been broadsided.

IIRC, the poster on the forum took pictures of the car and left a note under the windshield wiper, asking the owner if he'd like to sell the car. The original poster said he never got a reply. The car was always in the same spot on the street and (so the poster said) it appeared no one was working on it.

Well, that was a couple of years ago and it looks like the car hasn't moved much since then. (The seller says "WE CAN NO LONGER HOLD ONTO THE CAR BECAUSE WE HAVE TO MOVE AND IT HAS BECOME INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT TO AVOID PARKING TICKETS.") Yeah, I can see that being a problem. :slap:

So now it's for sale. Sad. Just a very, very sad case.

I don't see that as a viable vehicle even before it was hit.....
Why did they just let it sit so long?

Yikes!!! Well,in all fairness, the chrome handle to open the vent window on the passenger side door looks like it is in really solid condition. Perhaps the rest will just buff out?? :rofl2:

20 years ago this would have been crushed with no questions asked.
Today....I think it could be saved.
Have to poke around a bit to see if the rest is worth it.

I agree. The window crank for the vent window appears to be in excellent shape.

Well go ahead and save the vent window glass and two of those left rear lugnuts while you are at it.
Just saw the other photos. If that rear bumper is still good it looks decent, as are the tail lights and housings.
The grille and all the script is worth saving.

for those of us in the rust belt, it looks clean enough to restore, but the cost vs value when done is what might keep it from being saved in the eyes of many, there are some people who have a love for these and this body style. For the few who love these the idea of saving this one would be a nice fun project and the rewards would be in the time spent working on it, followed by the joy of driving it once it's done

Ratmaster keep in mind these pictures are several years old. Your rust belt must be a lot worse than the one I remember from the midwest. I wouldn't give scrap price for that poor thing.

That wagon was still decent when originally listed. Too bad!
