    Hello all,
just testing the waters here to find out what if any interest there might be for my 1965 Buick Sport Wagon...as stated above this is NOT your run of the mill wagon it is in need of restoration but let's face it the ride's 43 years old and still a head turner. While born with a "wildcat 300" I decided (against my better judgement) to stuff a 72' Riv 455 into it! I've done everything correctly including a complete rebuild on both the motor and tranny. The rest was purchased from T/A performance (motor mounts, carb, radiator and exhaust, ect.) Now here comes the hard part...letting go of it! I've just completed the transplant/transformation, have yet to really enjoy it and [IMG]my beautiful wife (who hates it) has requested that I part with it. I know what I have into the car yet it's difficult to determaine a realistic fair market value and the range I've seen online is so drastic. As I've said, the car is by no means show ready but is solid and road worthy with the exception of a few typical, completely repairable rust spots (on the doors only) and what I think would be minor body and complete interior work (which is worn, not torn) the car is good to go. So I guess the bottom line is: what does something go for without taking it in the shorts?
Thank you all in advance for your input!

FF, its all in the way they present the ultimatum. I prefer that they cut through to the chase, not the schmoozy, whiny act. But its still a poison pill.:taz: Been there, and done that - twice.

Nope one was a college gal in Nursing school. RN. Couldn't take the emotional toll, and yeah she went to drinking, she totalled two new Valiants (1975 and 1976 Broughams) just crusing home from work, after hitting a few bars. It was pretty gruesome on her. They suspended her until she straightened up and then her 53 year dad was told he had 6 months to live. Really bad time for her. Really a fighter, but when she started fighting with me, I sent her to her parents home to help with her dad's home care. No kids.

Number two was also a great gal. She decided to help her drug addicted, alcoholic 43 year old brother recover. He started stealing from her purse and our bedroom. I hung him by the feet from the balcony, with two cops telling me to pull him up, Not until he explained where he got the money for the booze and drugs on the coffee table. No charges. No kids. Next day, my key to our apartment didn't work. I got a call from a lawyer and gave him my business lawyer's number.

50 ways to love your liver.

Number three is a gem. Fiesty, firey, and a straight shooter. Fine woman and wife. (y)

I'm not sure and was hoping to get some feedback instead of being buried but I guess hijacking a tread is more fun than what these forums were meant for! I think $7000.00 is in the right ball park based on what I've done with it but there's still work to be done to make it what it should be (at least in my mind) so I'm not sure.

Since I was one of the hijackers, here's my apology and a link to some really desparate Buick Sport Wagon projects:
    http://www.azclassics.com/list_vehicles.php?/Buick

If you start with those prices and add the current condition and additional improvements, your estimate may be low.
