    1967 Volvo 220 wagon - $17000 (New London, NH)
Volvo 220 Station wagon. Restoration completed on rust free 1967 Volvo 220 with 90,000 original miles. The Dealer that had originally sold the car purchased the car back from the original owner in March 1984. I purchased the car from the 2d owner who bought it from the Volvo dealer for his wife's birthday in April 1991. The husband and wife were both Volvo enthusiasts and had made many of the changes from the original that were on the car when I acquired it in January 2009. The exterior color was converted from a light green, Volvo paint code 91, to a 1969 Cadillac colonial yellow. The engine and transmission, all of the wiring, all of the glass, all of the rubber, and all of the interior including the headliner were removed prior to painting the car. The car was reupholstered in the original dark green Volvo code No. 517-539/520-556. A new dash cover and headliner were installed. Every grommet, seal, and suspension bushing has been replaced. New black carpeting and a new black firewall rug were installed. A rear window defroster was installed, and a CD radio with 4 speakers and an automatic antenna were installed. The wheels, the front cross member and A arms, and the inside trim around the windshield were all painted body color. The engine is a slightly modified B20 that puts out around 135 hp. The generator has been replaced with a 55-amp alternator. The transmission is a factory installed M41 overdrive. The car has IPD antisway bars front and rear, new overload springs in the rear, and new KYB Gas-a-just shocks in the front. Brakes are dual circuit power brakes from a 1968 Canadian 122. The car has a period roof rack. The car has yellow lens Kinby 5" fog lights. The car has a 1- 1/4 inch trailer hitch receiver. The bumpers and all of the stainless steel trim are original. The car had been hit in the left rear quarter panel. This area was repaired, with new sheet metal welded around the wheel opening to restore the original contour of the wheel opening. When I got the car it had fiberglass front fenders and nose. These were replaced with new Volvo metal fenders and nose. The tires have 6500 miles on them and the alternator and battery are one year old. I have driven the car around 8000 miles since the restoration. The transmission has new syncro gears and seals. The car recently got 26 miles per gallon on regular gas at a steady 70 mph. I am motivated to sell the car before snow flies, so that I will not have to put it in storage. The NADA value for a car in this condition is $16,700. I will consider reasonable offers for the car
