Attended the Buick Nationals this year in Portland. I wanted to bring both cars, but ended up just bringing the wagon due to weather leading up to the show. I entered the wagon in the Archival class just to see how it would do. Fantastic show with an amazing number of wagons... including a huge selection of 47-53 Woodies and a couple of '57 Cabellero's. Thought you guys would enjoy some of the pics!
Thanks for the pics, must have been fun! As for the Rambler.................. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enqNl7tdLR4 ......
Wow! I guess I need to pay better attention to show announcements.... Might have gone to this one if I had realized it was in the area. Went to the POCA* national meet a few years back in So Cal. *Pontiac-Oakland Club of America
Nice show. Thanks. Like Tedy, the first thing I thought of was Beep Beep! I'll bet he was still in low gear at 80 MPH.
There was one for sale in the car coral. A 96 I think, for $6500. Looked decent (sorry no pics) and a lot of folks looking it over.
Yes, the 78 Estate won an Archival Elite award (like a preservation award). Scored 398 out of 400 points. I was extremely surprised, but the car is extremely original and I've tried to replace parts with authentic replacements, which apparently don't get deductions. I wanted to see just how original it was, as this was my first opportunity to have it judged by the BCA. Oops, and I found a pic with the 96 Roadie in the background!
Nice pics and congrats on the award. You see any 63's ? Im still waiting on my 63 to arrive from the shipper.
