I just stumbled across this wagon on eBay. It looks pretty decent! The car is located in New Jersey and the seller says it is an Arizona transplant. http://http://www.ebay.com/itm/131242622234?forcerRptr=true&item=131242622234&viewitem=
It's (maybe) a $5,000 wagon without those wheels and tires. Did they cost $5,000? I don't think so...... Prospective buyers go Ooooo and Aaaaaah over an old wagon with restomod wheels/tires on it, but it's all just a new coat of frosting on a 2-day old cake. Call me 'not impressed' with this one........ If he was selling it in the $6,500 range that would be another matter.
I'm not happy with the Di-Noc. It looks like it's been painted over. I expect much better from a $10K car. I wouldn't even go $6500 for this one (I'm picky about my Di-Noc). Note the little bits of rust here and there. They don't seem to be serious -- maybe just surface rust -- but I think they're enough to bring the value down some. 1967 seems to be an extra desirable year, so I'm thinking $5K is about right for this one.
BIN dropped to $9500 I think the seller knows this is a prayer-answered price. He is open for offers. I think this one will sell.
It's a nice survivor that's been polished up. I just don't see $5000 unless an East Coast premium is factored in. It is a six passenger with no jump seats. Paint is good for a driver. Looks like the passenger D pillar was resprayed to look shiny. Having the trailer pigtail connector in that location is kind of odd. Hopefully the hitch is not mounted to the storage pan! Wayne
If it is road-ready and brakes and suspension won't need immediate attention, I think $5k to get in it and drive it would be a good price, especially as clean as it is. There looks to be an alignment issue with the doors on the driver's side, and I'd be concerned about that. Otherwise looks like a nice wagon to drive, or a great start for a project, just high on the price.
