1975 olds wagon and 1975 impala wagon parting out

    i have a friend that are getting parting these 2 wagons out. both calmshell and are mostly complete. i tried to buy them but he don't want to sell just parting them out. i will try to get pics so everyone can see them. i think but don't know for sure oldsmobile custom cruiser has 455 in with 400 tranny. impala has 400 in don't know if big block or not and don't know what tranny is. this is the ad http://madison.craigslist.org/pts/4459568667.html

    Do you think either of the rear weatherstripping for the rear glass/tailgate would be in good enough shape to remove and keep in once piece, even if it had cracks? My tentative plan is to have a set 3D scanned and see if they can be reproduced from those scans by a rubber company.

    Actually, can you please find out if the exterior door glass sweeps especially on the rear doors on the impala are ok. My driver side rear is the worst one.

    Premier. I have a couple sets of outer felts. Let me look and see if they are from a post or hardtop car

    The only engine offered in any Olds Custom Cruiser or 98 for the entire clamshell era ('71 through '76) was the 455. If the CC's engine is original, it's a 455.

    By 1976, though, the 455's were just a shadow of their former selves in terms of power for a variety of reasons (increasingly strict emissions requirements, etc.), and few people want them.
