These are mine I flushed out the tank on the red one so it runs in its own. The blue wagon has rot in the tailgate and area around where the tailgate closes., and the cargo area. And the hood is rusty. Either could be fixed with the parts for the other. I think the red one needs less. The blue one is rarer though. I can't decide and will never get it done.

Well, it would make a great companion for my red '70 Country Squire, but it's rougher than my car was when I first got it. I have some idea of what it would take to put this one into really good condition ($30k at a guess).

If I get that big lottery hit...

Otherwise, I hope that someone with a lot of body work skills and a great love for this model jumps on this.

The blue one is for sale again as a parts car. Was the whole car for $2800 a month ago, but now he says he may cut it up as soon as this weekend :(. I was thinking of selling my '94 Caprice wagon cheap to make space in the driveway, but this picture is making me reconsider...

Quote from the link mp gave...

There are also several 1969 - 1970 Mercury Marquis 2 door and 4 door sedans and Colony Park Station Wagons that many of these parts will interchange with.

Parts from windshield back will for up to 1972 model year Mercury wagons (bumper/lights) and I am pretty sure although Ford wagons changed the rear quarter skin 71/72, I'd bet the tailgate is swappable also (bumper maybe?) among many other parts . Bummer I'm on the wrong side of the world, I'd be interested in a bunch of parts just to have as spares, taillights especially. I noticed in the other link in mp's thread he has a lot of 68 Cougar stuff.... but I have my garage packed with spare parts for those:D

I sold the blue one. I guess the guy who bought it decided to part it out. I still have the red one for sale if anybody is interested. I really don't want to scrap it I want it gone runs good. I'd even trade for 68 mustang parts.
